Anatomy of an Enchanted Nursery

So it’s about to be Mommy time again, for the second time. My next baby girl, Satiah Harlow, is due to join us in a few short months and I have been a nesting beast. Like her big sister Aria’s room, hers had to be absolutely perfect. But what to do? What was my theme? Her room was my old “shoe room” (I told ya’ll I was impractical, so yes, I had a whole room for my shoes and purses). But with the impending arrival of my little Pixie, I had to let – that- go. Sigh. So in my head, the “new” room had to be just as magical as the last. And then there it was, like… well… magic. It was going to be an enchanted nursery, with stars and clouds and fairies. So away to plan I went.

I can’t find a before picture of the room – I can’t believe it because I know I had TONS of pictures of it. But I do have one with my little diva playing dress up in front of my shoes. So that’s all you get.

My little Aria pretending to be a designer.
Playing dress up during the purge. She’s so very glam. (Didn’t she turn into a big girl quick? Where does the time go?)

But it’s not about me is it? You want to see the room. So without further ado… Here it is.

Welcome to Satiah’s nursery.

It is exactly what I pictured that it might be. Girly. Enchanted. Cozy. Cute. There were a few DIY projects thrown in there as well, like the name frame, which I’ll talk about in another post, that made this nesting experience a great labor of love.

Thanks to my awesome 18-month-old, Aria, and the best husband ever for helping with some of the details. I couldn’t have achieved this greatness without ya’ll.

xoxo,
